Is a Budget Smartwatch Worth It? An Honest Review
Budget smartwatches have improved sharply. Under $60 you now get step counting, sleep tracking, notifications and roughly a week of battery — genuinely useful if that is all you need.
The compromises are real, though. Heart-rate readings drift during intense exercise, GPS often relies on your phone, and the companion apps range from average to frustrating. Build quality shows after a few months of wear.
If you want notifications on your wrist and a rough activity picture, a budget model does the job well.
If you train seriously, or plan to keep it three years, spend more once instead of twice.
